Folks, is there a reliable way to purchase Epiphone parts in the USA? I have a couple of EPI LP Customs (Apr 04/Mar 05 productions) that I bought used (more like rescued from abusive homes) and I need to find replacement backplates for them. I had one mail order site order me parts based on the s/n's but they weren't the right size. And I tried using Gibson parts (we all know how that worked out...LOL) Any help would be appreciated...Thanks

Ok, well not exactly Epi-authorized, but you can buy plexiglas sheets at Lowes and cut/drill it to fit perfectly. All you need is a decent jigsaw, some fine grit sandpaper to round the edges, a countersink drill bit, and some patience. I've used the clear stuff to show off my soldering and wiring and it looks cool!

PS: Get more than you need in case the first one is a bust.

I bought the slightly larger Gibson back cover and sanded down the edges 'til it fit.
